Arturia came up with a versatile controller and step sequencer in one.
It even has a CV/gate connection, and it costs €99/$129.

I completely overlooked your post Roblabs.
I just read that M-Audio also came up with a beatstep type of controller with an onboard sequencer, only it is priced at $399.
The Arturia looks more interesting to me.

Ditto. At first glance I was like, "this is just another beat pad controller". But then looking at the cv and midi functionality, i got excited, as you can use this with synths and other gear.

Hopefully in the next few days we can see this thing in action...

The tactile would be much more interesting to me if it had the Kronos 61 keybed.

The tactile would be much more interesting to me if it had the Kronos in it instead of the Triton.

Yes Kronos in it would be good but I always wanted a good controller with the Kronos 61 Keybed. I would think it would cost way to much with the Kronos in it how about the king korg. Doesn't matter as my sites are set on that greT new moog!

Arturia's Beatstep will sell like hotcakes.

For that price (£80!!), I'll have two - I just hope you can sync them somehow without relying on USB/MIDI.

EDIT… Hmmm - I'm intrigued about the CV/Gate outputs. No real details that I can see yet, but Arturia's website has a piccie of it triggering a 2600 which needs a 10v Gate/Trigger (from a 5v USB power source???) - I wonder how they've managed that

Funny everyone being excited about the cc stuff but it seems to me the KMI products have offered this for awhile. My QuNexus has it and. I think maybe even the QuNeo might have it. What I like about the QuNexus is that it is drum pads laid out like a Keybed similar to the korg nano keys.

I thought I posted this already but couldn't find it so here we go again.

I half expected to see a couple falling behind synth entities combine and bring out a workstation product. I say this tongue in check but as humorous as it seemed to me it wouldn't have surprised me.

How about a kurzland board or a rolaha, or maybe a yamaweil!
