I'm hoping Arturia keeps their analog momentum strong with another synth or box.

Why shut the company down? That's overly harsh. Even as it stands, they make the best hardware virtual analogue synth on the planet.

Their business model has changed since the Virus A/B/C days. Instead of releasing new hardware synths, they upgrade the software instead. The TI has already gone through 5 major operating system versions, adding stacks of new features. The TI of today is massively different from the TI that was originally released in 2005, yet it's still effectively the same hardware synth (other than the TI2 refresh). It's the software that has changed. A bit like upgrading to new versions of Windows on the same computer.

Also bear in mind that Christoph Kemper (aka Kemper Digital), the founder and main programmer for Access Music, has two brainchilds - one being the Virus, the other being Kemper Profiling Amps. Guess the guy can't split into two, and therefore it's the latter that he's been putting his energy into the last year or two, the first series of amps being released in January 2012, and others since then. Some of that profiling amp tech has even filtered into the Virus in the shape of the recent stomp box distortions and speaker cabinet emulation software updates.

The Virus is due for an update though. There's a lot of competition from the native VST arena. Access needs to respond to that, especially with such a premium price tag.

If they do it right in a way that truly WORKS for live performance, that would be insane!

Shut up and take my money!

There are rumors Roland sweden has a new workstation for exclusive review!?
Hopefully it has not 2 screens. I would prefer a big touchscreen with Cakewalk intgration and ARX module slots plus Integra 7 sounds and a v-synth engine.
Just dreaming.

+1. I'd buy that :-D
Except they should integrate their ARX technology into the software, like on the Kronos.

what do you mean by card slots? Card slots are 90's technology, anybody releasing hardware that requires cards slots to update is sure to fail.

Software updates is the present day technology. Plenty of RAM, Hard drive, touch screen technology, controllers, etc. Its all cheap, made in China, plastic and it shouldn't really cost the prices these companies quote.

They make it for peanuts in china and slug the west with premium prices.
Well, that's my belief.
