Interesting. There was a huge debate going on at gearslutz.com about this. A lot of folks were quite adamant that this wouldn't be released, but lo and behold!

Korg is having trouble keeping up with production of all the recent products so this should speed things up a bit. Plus it saves you the trouble of disassembling it if you want to mod it.

In any case if this is real I think I want one.

Hmm.. it seems more like buying a synth from Ikea than a kit.

Real metal nuts + Anybody can assemble + Comments from the sympathetic developers etc. = Brilliant idea, bravo Korg!

Sorry to be negative about this but -

1. It will never work reliably. I would _never_ buy a kit and expect it to work. I say that from experience.

2. It's far too expensive.

Hi Kevin,

This kit seems to be really easy to assemble, it's almost done already. No soldering needed. Few nuts and connectors - a bit like "IKEA". :) So I guess it would work for you.

The price is another question. Yes, it's not cheap. But it's a full size limited edition.

This looks awesome! If I didn't already have the mini and/or plans to go ahead with a modular this year, I'd totally be in on this!
Wish they'd released something else from the MS line, but the fact that this is pretty fricken cool is pretty hard to deny.
Love it!
Only question I have is does any calibrating need to be done once these are assembled?

I wonder if this stores patches in it...MIDI...e tc...or is it 100% replica.
