Apex, you are probably right about the adrenaline rush
But seriously, the focus was on "instantly useable".
After I while of use I have to admit that I can't do much with many of the Kronos synth engines presets, because they either sound too harsh (ear bleed factor with good monitors or headphones or when played loud in band context) or don't look too musical to me for other reasons. I really only use a fraction of the Kronos synth presets. That's why I am so happy to finally see a really musical classical synth set from Bush at the horizon.
And concerning the KK I am a bit disappointed, that it received no serious additional soundset or update or editor at all so far. I had thought that Namm would really be an occasion, to show that this synth is not just a casual a one year product from Korg's side.
From the Gadget you get all kinds of very musical, useable presets instantly, from classical to modern sounds. And yes, that surprised me from a 30$ product.

this seems like you just have an adrenaline rush... no way on Earth this is a true statement... maybe there are tons of good presets... but certainly not more than K and Kk put together... that's just funny.
I think it depends. There was some stuff in there that AFAIK the Kronos can straight up NOT do currently. Those OB sounds, the dubstep massive sounding stuff and the 303 clone? I don't think so! However I'd love to be proven wrong.

wow. this is great info.... intriguing if nothing else...
I did just purchase. I remembered that wifey had purchased a iTunes gift card for me for Christmas... so this only cost me $13... I'm sure I'll be all smiles.

If they really want this to take off, they need to release a sampler gadget (pack). (I know I'm getting ahead of myself - as I haven't even DL'd the app yet, but still, there needs to be some gadgets where users can load their own loops, samples, and clips.

Well they are doing updates for this with new gadgets so who can say where it will go to next.

I know, and that in itself is really a fantastic idea....even cooler if they add some audiobus support or someway to integrate their other apps like ims20 and ielectribe into gadgets.

It will be audiobus compatible in a future update according to Korg. Yes that will be excellent indeed.

Connected it up to the Kronos, pretty much plug and play. I had to go into settings and set the latency to fastest otherwise it was unplayable.
I still can see no way of getting live or exported midi out of the app, maybe they will add this later.

Yes, a sampler would make this a complete package.
Have anyone tried this on an iPad 2? I was recommended not to upgrade to iOS 7, due to varios issues. Is it safe to upgrade now?

I tried to an ipad mini (same HW of the ipad2) and it runs well.
BTW, by specs, it should run with up to 5 tracks together with the ipad 2/mini.

Sounds good, thanks. Have you noticed any problems with other apps?

I have a 3, so not sure how this runs on 2. I upgraded to iOS7. no issues. Although there might be older apps that won't work - but with high quality apps this shouldnt be a problem. As long as theyre actively supported you should be fine.

I held of updating to ios7 until the day before gadget was released. I updated so that I could use BIAS for amp modeling with JamupProxt. Talk about fate. \
Anyway I am having no issues so far..I also thought that I would loose storage space to ios7 but instead I gained 3/4 giga bytes.

Just got it… Running very well on an iPad Air.
Intriguing that Korg have modelled the graphics on some well known synths, although they don't sound like the originals
Fun though.
