Looks like the kaoss3 got squashed in its bag last nye after a gig.
Now the xy pad is permanently on in one position, it will still follow my finger and the screen all works okk and everything else works ok, but it returns to the same spot where one of the sections is always lit. there is a visible tiny dent/scratch in the same area. I bravely took it to bits and put it back together-still does the same thing.

SO!

do I get a new screen? will that fix it?

Any help appreciated.

Korg say the screen is £30

if you can get the dent out the protective plastic screen (which is unlikely without potentially damaging it further) you may be able to fix it without replacing the entire screen assembly.

you could also potentially make a replacement cover from appropriate plastic that might work too.

It's worth a shot before you shell out money for a replacement.
