Kronos 88, nanoPad positioning and usage model

Let's say that there's a real possibility that I'm gonna have to buy Kronos very soon having in mind that my OASYS is a bit screwed up. I have a lot of sounds in my OASYS that use pads and I've gotten very much used to the fact that I can punch my pads below the screen. There's absolutely no way that - even if I do buy it - that I'm gonna punch pads on the screen as that's just not the usage model and/or tactile feel I'm looking for.
Is there enough space on Kronos 88 to fit the nanoPad on the right part of the keyboard, next to "Start-stop" and "Sampling rec" keys? I might have to re-work the keyboard zoning on my sounds, but that just might work nicely.
Furthermore, can you hook up more then one nanoPad and - if you can - how does that work? Are first 8 pads assigned to Kronos pads on both of them or?

I am shocked you are buying a Kronos.
The nano fits niceley in the right hand corner of the 88. You can roughly verify some measurements.
I place some non slide fabric on my 88 so it does not get scratched by a nano

I'm also confirming that works on my Kronos 88. The nanopad fits on either side of the K88 but I have mine on the left hand side just above the joystick.

GregC, yeah, I am too, but if I fail to repair my OASYS, I have no choice. I can't let 9 years of work (sounds) to go outta window, and I have gigs coming up as well as other sounds to make.
okie dokie, thanks. did you perhaps try to work with two nanos?

Just out of curiosity, what do you use the pads for?

I mainly use the pads for 1 finger chord hits. I also use it as an alternate ribbon controller on the xy big area. I tried it on the Oasys originally and thought the physical pads were a great idea. The nanopad2 helps bring the Kronos up to Oasys spec. I've never used the Kronos on screen pads although it is good to know they are also available.

I just use them for chords as well, in situations when I don't have enough hands and fingers to play everything that I feel should be played. Also, I often use them to play chords from a different MIDI channel then the one the OASYS is set to (for example, chords trigger on MIDI CH #3 while the OASYS is globally set to #1), especially in a COMBI. That frees up space for keyboard zoning and makes everything easier to play as I don't have to use as much velocity-switched sounds, as well.
