Hey All,

I have a M-audio keyboard hooked up to my macbook and use garageband and logic. I'm trying to output to a kaossilator and am having a hard time. input as well actually. I have the R/C cable attached to the input of the kaossilator, the cable is plugged into a wire, i don't know what it's called but I plug the red and yellow ends into it to convert it to the right size to plug into the laptop output (headphone). I can't get any sound out of it through the Kaossilator. Everything seems to work. Wires work. all the jacks seem to work. the keyboard gets sound through the laptop, but not through the kaossilator. Not sure what's missing. The alternative is to plug teh laptop into the microphone jack on the Kaossilator which works but I get a terrible hissing sound. If there's a way to get rid of the hissing sound then that could work. But I'm not sure why I can't play the M-audio midi keyboard and get sound through the kaossilator. Any help would be appreciated.

is the input toggle switch on input and not mic?

Oh man if it was the toggle switch i'd feel soooo silly.

I figured out the problem. Turned out to be a bum wire. I just had to replace it. I spent sooo much time trying to figure out the issue, playing with the software configs and all it took was a trip to the dollar store half a block away for a 2 buck wire haha.

All good now. thanks for the reply!
