Kaossilator-Hard to play? Looking for tips

Hey,

I see people on Youtube playing the Kaossilator and being able to play melodies quite well. I'm relatively good on keyboard and pianos but I'm finding the kaossilator very difficult to play a melody without F-ing up. Which is very frustrating when I'm overdubbing on something that was done correctly. When I lean my finger even the slightest bit to the right or left the note changes. It's super sensitive. I'm forever hitting wrong notes because I hit the edge of the square or whatever.

Is it just a matter of practice? Or do people have any tips/tricks? Am I alone on this? I suppose I could use a stylus.

Which Kaossilator do you have?

It might make sense to start out with some of the easier scales, like the Octave and Pentatonic scales.

take your scale down to one octave to get the largest size on screen for each note

Thanks! that does look very useful. I'll try it. When I get home from work I'll change the octave/scale as you guys suggested.
