KP3 with Maschine...benefits

I got Maschine. It's the MK2 so it has the effects nobs. How beneficial would it be for me to add a KP3? Would it open up a lot more flexibility for sound manipulation or are the effects in MK2 pretty strong that the Kp3 wouldn't make a huge difference? Thanks
