[quote="kingy10kingy"]Not recording in Mono , only in stereo.

I use foxtex satalite speakers for my Kronos , and PC speakers for my computer. The average user will only have PC speakers that's why I want to use these instead but they never sound crystal clear.

I have to ask, is this true? The average user only has PC speakers? Is this how most people listen to music now? If this is indeed true, I'm beside myself with astonishment. Like just freaked right out.
People don't own real stereos anymore?
My weakest sound system is with my computer. I never take it seriously. If I want to listen to music, and I assume people like to do this, especially here at this forum, I listen in my living room on my real stereo. It's nothing fancy, just two mid priced speakers; $650, and an old Dynakit 70 tube power amp. Less than a thousand bucks for the main part of the stereo. No sub woofer.
In my studio, I have a cheap pair of Edirolls. They're good enough but I simply can't imagine using my computer speakers to monitor through.

Ok. I'm done ranting now!
at least for a day!

I thought people only used earbuds that come with their mp3 players! Go figure!

Dude, 99 percent of the demo's we do with our band are only ever heard on laptop speakers by prospective bookers. It's ridiculous.

I always assume anything added in has the potential to color or even degrade sound quality. That said I don't notice any problems using my little mixer. The pros here will have much better insight then I do.

I might. It all depends on what you want sound wise. I use a Yamaha AA16G mixer/recorder and I think it sounds fine.
This is a song that I wrote and recorded with the aw16g. The sounds are all Kronos except for the guitar and vocals of course. Tell me what you think.

The thing to remember of course is that if you really want to hear it properly, you need to play it on the best speakers that you have or you're just limiting yourself.
