Looks interesting....I'm still trying to wrap my brain around everything I got in Komplete 9 Ultimate around Xmas time.....I haven't even touched The Finger or The Mouth yet....I've been messing with the Kontakt Libraries mostly but also Massive and Reaktor and some Absynth.....All the Kontakt libraries that are included is mind boggling trying to get through those alone....I keep eye balling maschine mikro so that one may end up in the collection some day....moon

Modular effects are nothing new or special. Lots of guitar pedals have effect chains where you can reorder effects to how you like them (see Axe FX, for example). Also Eventide and Lexicon have such flexible effects units where you can put things where you want and how you want it.

And the most powerful guitar effects unit Axe-FX does have that since years, just like some software VSTis and even Ipad effects units.

The idea is stone old, but the quality and options may differ. NI will certainly do well here.

So this is a Reaktor add-on only, right?

No it will run "on its own", kinda, using the freely available Reaktor Player.

I have just scanned the manual, it looks very interesting. Might have to get this.

But with Reaktor u can do more, not just rearange effects but tweak them or creat completely new ones.

I love their software. But I wont touch their hardware at present.

I have a NI Komplete Audio 6 interface sitting near me doing nothing that I eventually replaced with a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 after constant driver problems and little or no help from NI.

The thread about my click problem was started on Jan 13th 2012, and the last post in it was 1 minute ago.

In the end I lost faith in them ever fixing it.

FWIW, I've had the original Maschine hardware controller for years now and it's been rock solid. If you are in need of a product like this, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to ignore it.

Can't comment on the Komplete Audio 6 except that a friend has one and it has been fine on his Mac. Sounds like the Windows drivers or firmware may be crappy. Or possibly ASIO4ALL was installed at some point on the system? Even when it wasn't running (but only installed) it has caused problems for me with other cards. Also using Win7 x64 btw.

You can do completely new effects in Eventide H8000 as well, for example. You get a DSP editor along with it.

That's cool!

Hope NI will bring this concept to much better level!!!
