Karma in seq mode

Post by Sleazysteve »

Hello everyone!
I'm here because, once again I'm stuck.

Hooked up kronos to mpc studio. Got both working good, setting kronos to auto external USB.

I copy nylon guitar from program to seq mode.
Turn karma button on and record pattern on midi track 1

However midi track 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,11,12,13,14,15,16 don't trigger any sounds when karma button is lit.

When I turn the karma button off all the "muted" tracks become active, but of course I lose the sweet karma strumming of midi track 1.

Please can anyone help with this? I've looked all over the inter web and couldn't really find anything. Thanks!

Edit.
Don't know how but got it to work. Except that the first 4 midi channels don't tribute. It's like those are reserved for karma only? I do notice in the karma tab it do have channels 1 thru 4 associated with karma module a-d. Does this mean I can use 4 different karma programs in same song?

Yes, you can use 4 KARMA programs in a song or combi. In the dropdown menu, you can use the COPY KARMA MODULE command to assign a program's KARMA setting to the modules (A,B,C,D) that you want.

Along the lines of what Niarf was saying: If you set the INPUT CHANNEL of all 4 modules to channel 1 (but leave modules B,C,D off), you can use the other tracks 2,3,4,...16 like you wanted, while retaining the guitar strumming.
