I'm sure this question has been answered already but I'm new to MIDI sync and I don't understand everything I read so far.

I would like to sync my Kaossilator Pro with my Electribe er mkII via Midi so that when I play my pre recorded samples (let's say a 16 steps loop at 120 bpm) with the Kpro, the Electribe's 16 step beats stay synchronized. For example I start a bass loop on the Kpro, then when I press play on the Electribe the beat pattern starts as the bass loop does. I do live stuff with this setup and I used to trigger everything by hear, but it would be easier for me if it would stay synchronized so I can worry about other stuff on stage.

Is that possible with simple Midi cables ?

PS: Sorry for my non-native English.

you can sync the clocks, but there is no way to press one button and have a loop start on both machines. The start and stop of the kpro does not respond to midi as other instruments do, at least that is my understanding.
