Hello,

I didn't use my KP3 very much because I found 3 problems :

1. When using the KP3 with my Alesis M1Active 520 USB speakers (to which I connect the KP3 and the mic to the KP3) the sound is VERY low when listening to a loop.
If I record myself on the microphone with Audacity, the sound is "normal".
If I record the sound from the loop, it's very low either on the record or the live sound.

If I listen with the headphones, the sound is normal.

2. When I do some beatbox I do not hear myself through the speakers in live, I must record myself on audacity or on a loop to hear what I've made, dunno if it's made on purpose. I just tried with an instrument and the headphones and yes, you can't hear yourself in live but with the headphones the sound is reduced so it's stupid, or i'm doing something wrong ?

3. How to reduce the unwanted noise ? try not to cross the cables, right ?

4. How to use a two handed instrument while having to press the loop button ? Seriously I don't know how to proceed unless I press it with a toe

Do you ever read the manual or use the onsite search button or google?

1) At rear panel [CONNECTION] switch must be set to [DIRECT].
2) Set KP3 [Input Volume] knob to high or max to get enough louder input volume.
3) Try connecting the KP3 phones output with adjustable volume to the USB speakers input, that way you can control higher volume output.

Or you already using the Line-in input of the PC either with the KP3 line out or phones output, test which one is better.
Open up PC Sound control panel and find the Line-in volume control, set to higher volume etc.

4) The noise is coming from the PC groundloop when USB is connected to KP3.
You can get rid of it but you need to cut the voltage wires [Pin 1]+5v and [Pin4]ground in the USB cable, that way the PC ground is cut as well the groundloop noise.

Since KP3 only use the Pin3 and Pin4 for signal transmission.

5) There are MIDI FOOT trigger/controller/switch available, like this one or some other cheaper/simpler 4 pedal MIDI switches around etc.: e.g. http://www.behringer.com/en/products/fcb1010.aspx
6) In the KP3 manual page 21:

In the MIDI FOOT Controller, you need to assign for each pedal the above MIDI CC# numbers #36,37,38,39 for the corresponding SAMPLE BANK for triggering with your foot.
