I recently purchased an eBook titled "Steal This Sound". I highly recommend anyone who wants to know how to make killer versions of sounds from their favourite songs that they get this book. It has a ton of great sounds on it and the writer is very good at describing how to recreate it.

I bought it from IBooks store, amazon has it, book.google has it, and I also saw a link to tradebit.

Can't wait to read it, thanks for the heads up!

Essintially it is a PDF file but I found it in iBooks so I just payed for it and downloaded it onto my iPad. It isn't specific to the Kronos at all but since it tells you how to make the sound form scratch there is no reason at all why you can't make pretty much every sound in the book on your Kronos.
There's a lot of sounds there from all kinds of music.
He first tells you how the sound was originally created and on what machine. Then he goes about telling you how to recreate it, sometimes on soft synthes, other times on hardware synthes. I suggest just buying it.

Very helpful book tip

The Korg forum is very big to find awesome stuff I would have not found this easy if I were not browsing the different threads occasionally and it happens the subject of that book is what I was looking for to learn, Maybe add a thread for this kinda stuff admins :-) .

Thanks for tipping this book it sometimes take ages to find anything like this.

Yes I used the book for song and programming ideas when doing the Famous Synth sounds, so you should see a number of the same synth sounds in there. It should get you in the ballpark for many sounds.

Also related to this is the ftp site below:

You will find mp3s of the sounds, patches for specific soft synths and related PDFs. Very helpful stuff.

Thank you for this tip. Got the book myself now and it's a good collection of tips and tricks. Interesting is that is was written to get digital synths to sound more analoque. Since it explaines the structure of the analogue sounds very good,it is useful for analogue and digital synth programming.
