kp3+ becomes distorted when using "Pad Motion"

I just purchased a kp3+ .... Whenever I'm doing a pad motion and then press the pad motion button to record the motion the sound play back becomes distorted... Like it sounds great when I'm moving my finger around so I press Pad Motion to keep it going but then the play back gets all distorted... I've tested with the mic, different inputs, and saved samples and the same thing happens for all of it...

Maybe it's a DOA.
Do a factory reset and disconnect USB/PC connection and If lowering the input volume and using different sfx it still sounds distorted.
Then return/exchange it to the retailer, test and listen other ones if the same, else refund.

Alright the factory reset seems to have made it happy... Hopefully that's all it needed..
