Calliope

Post by gpb0216 »

Is there a calliope patch anywhere in the Kronos X and, if so, where would I find it?
Many thanks!

Not at the Kronos now, but it seems to me when I needed one about a year ago I had to create it. But there could be one and I just didn't like it.

The GM sounds usually have one, in the I-G bank. Probably not very good though.

You can use PCG Tools to find a (part of a name) in a program, combi, set list slot. So if the name 'calliope' is used you will find it.

That you for the excellent responses!
* to ed_f: I'm still pretty new to the Kronos and creating a calliope patch sounds quite intimidating. Is there a tutorial to which you could send me to start me down this path?
* to SanderXpander: Thank you for the I-G bank tip. Since I'm not yet ready to attempt creating a calliope patch, the I-G024 (Bandoneon) is probably close enough for now.
* to michelkeijzers: I will definitely check out the PCG tools.

Thank you again!

I haven't tried to convert this one myself, but I found this free calliope soundfont on the web.

There's an audio demo on the page that you can listen to so you can decide whether it's worth going through the effort of registering to get an account so you can download it.

Let me see if I can find it. If so, I will pass it along.
