Rotating keyboard stand.
Does anybody know where you can purchase a Jordan Rudess style rotating keyboard stand for the Kronos 88? Preferably in the Netherlands?
Re: Rotating keyboard stand.
I think Jordan's is a custom design. His will also tilt left and right.laandodeman wrote:Does anybody know where you can purchase a Jordan Rudess style rotating keyboard stand for the Kronos 88? Preferably in the Netherlands?

I made my own. Somewhere on this Forum is a picture and thread about it.
As far as I know, Jordan had his made by a custom stand builder in the Netherlands. You might be able to find out about it from the Jordan Rudess website.

Way too expensive for me.Hello,
The basic model for 1 kb is 650 euros.
For a double tier + 2 pedals + 2 stereo out + power + mic holder, it is around 900 euros. Shipment to Dublin with UPS is around 100 euros by UPS.
See the video attached of my last 2 tiers stand for the US.

if you don't mind getting your hands dirty, there are several DIY projects floating around the net. I tried to find the one posted on Rudess' forum, but the pictures appear to be gone. That guy used the guts from a lazy susan.
Here's one made from a metal bar stool.

the keybed appears to be totally white as well. Perhaps the guy did it himself and silkscreened new logos on the back? I can't even see any of the markings on the top

This is a picture of the rotating stand that I made myself. I used good scissor stand, 2 peices of u shaped aluminum mounted onto a square piece of plywood. Next I have a steel lazy susanne wheel on another peice of plywood. Aluminum box frame with some angle pieces. I have 1/4 inch hard foam on the inside of the angle pieces so I don't scratch my Kronos. The hole in the center is for the cables to run. I used rivets to hold it all together. It works great! One very important thing to remember is that you must have everything centered exactly because if you don't, on an uneven stage, the keyboard likes to rotate on it's own to whatever point is balanced.
