Hi guys,

I have a AirTurn 105 that turns sheet music on my ipad/mac when receiving input from a switch/pedal. The idea is to hook up the AirTurn to the kronos through one of the switches and state a midi cc to it somehow. Perhaps its wishful thinking, but if i have it connected to the kronos I'm hoping to both control it manually AND have the option to automate some sheet music action.

1) Can i hook up a pedal to one foot switch and make it send midi "back" through one of the other switches? Ex.: pedal in switch 2, AirTurn in switch 3, press it pedal 2, make switch 3 send midi to AirTurn and then *magic*

2) Is it possible state a MIDI CC# to be sent when opening a new combi or prog? Karma perhaps?

I don't understand the first question, there is no way to hook up a pedal to another pedal in any meaningful way I can think of. As for the second, the Kronos can send any kind of bank select/program change from combi mode if you set one of the timbres to "EXT2". Would that work?

Honestly, I do it the other way around, I use Setlist Maker on my iPad and I have it select the sound on my Kronos when I tap the song/open the sheet on my iPad.

You might be able to do this with KARMA, which has the ability to send 4 different CCs - see the CC Offsets page. However, the question is whether these will be transmitted to MIDI out if you set the Module to a Program that has the timbre (in a combi) set to EXT. I don't really know. These offsets are sent to the program that is in the timbre when KARMA is turned on, or is when the combi is selected and KARMA is stored as on. Don't know whether they will go out to external devices offhand.

If this helps, you can use the buttons below the knobs to send CC midi messages.

You configure which CC you want to send with each button in the Global Menu, and then when playing, select the "EXT" button and then the configuration you made in global mode will be available.

I use it this way to send midi CC's to my IPAD. But I know the pedal could be a better option for you.
