What "external switch button" are you pressing? A keyboard key or something else?

Did you use the midi key option in Live? That ought to trigger your loop with one press on the Kronos.

Is your loop in Live set to Trigger or something else?

Any other external midi interfaces or are you using usb midi from the Kronos?

In kronos there 16 external midi button assignable for each program. Those between karma and audio switch button. The button ext. I set on global setting by default on 80. So i have all button assign to a midi CC for explample switch 1 CC 75# and so on.
In ableton loop is in trigger.
If i use an external pad for example korg nanopad the loop star without press 2 times the button.

It sounds as if you've set it up as a toggle rather than a momentary switch, could this be the issue?

In kronos you can't set toogle or momentary. In ableton I don't know.

No I mean could you have created a feedback loop where the CC data you're sending from the Kronos is going back into the Kronos from Ableton?

No i just set the number of CC in kronos and then in ableton from midi panel I click to loop and press the switch button in Kronos so in ableton I see the CC assign.

Now I'm undecided whether to buy a korg pad or not. but having the ability to use the keys on the kronos annoys me to throw away 40 euro.

You can use the pad screen for this sort of thing.

You can assign CC messages to the pads via Global->midi->external2

The pad will then send the CC with a value of 64 and then a value of 0 without you having to press it twice.

This can be used to trigger clips in Live with no problems.

I don't want use pad on touchscreen cause they are not comfortable to use.
But there is anyone that use this kind of method for this use?

Yes I do, it works.

Other ways are to use the switches SW1/SW2 and set them to momentary, or use a combo and split the keyboard up to use the high notes or low notes to trigger your clips but not the kronos.

Ok in this case using sw 1 or 2 work good and also with keys but I want to do with ext midi switch button.
What setting do you use in Kronos and ableton to do this?
