Kaossilator 2 power supply

I'm tired of recharging batteries and figured I should get myself a cheap chinese power supply. All the specs match those of the KO2, but I fear it is unregulated (though it's a switched-mode PS) and now I'm wondering if I'll fry my device (the PS rates 4,5V and 1A, so maybe it supplies 6V for the KO2?). How dangerous are these things?
And BTW, does someone know if there's an internal regulator for the DC input? Will I really have to pay 30 bucks just to power the KO2?:,(

No problem!. Those lightweight (without bulky/heavy transformer) switching powersupply are
regulated by the switching conversion
design.
There tricky part is the KORG powerplug, it's not those standard type.
It use one of this yellow tip plug with smaller middle pin hole.
If you want DIY, you'll need to measure the plug/pin hole sizes and buy/cut/paste/solder:

KO2 use own internal powerregulators as it use 2 AA battery=3V and ext. dc 4.5V and less than 300mA consumption.
The older KORG power supply used
unregulated 4.5V/500mA transformer type.
KA-193/KA-199.
KA-193 for $9.99 here:

That's excellent news bradkorg, thanks a lot for it! About the plug type, I bought these adapters (no soldering needed)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331148765324 I suppose one of them will make the connection, but they still haven't arrived. Once they get here I'll confirm that
BTW: I'm not from the US, so I'll have to pay for the shipping (+-15 usd) if I want an "official" power supply. The one I bought from china cost me 3.29 usd, with shipping
