a real newbie question about controllers

Post by GuyM »

Sorry to ask when most probably you can say "go read the manual"...but I am hurredly preparing for some shows next week so thought you might help me out

A real novice question...again apologies..I promise to read the manual when I get back after the tour!

I have a standard? patch (Classic Prog Organ) and when I am playing it I want to the be able to add more reverb or take it away again on the fly...what controller is already there on the x61 to just let me do that quickly without changing too much or having to open up windows /pages etc..as in live..I have no time to do it!

Or is it configurable? and I can assign a controller of choice? in which case in "FOR DUMMIES..." speak, please tell me how to do that and save the patch/config off after

Thanks for any help

You can assign knob 5 to 8 in Rt knobs karma section on the control surface, or assign a knob to the reverb in Tone adjust section =)

Most patches are already set up so that knob 8 affects reverb depth, assuming the control surface is in "RT/KARMA" mode (the switches on the left of the sliders).

Generally speaking, you can set up almost any controller to do this by going to the page where your reverb is (probably MFX1 or 2) and putting it as the AMS source for the wet/dry balance.

Which Organ Program are you using (Name, Bank and Number)?

The patch is in my User_G section (Maybe part of the additional CX3 organ giveaway??)

But the other advice re: controller pot 8 and the RT/Karma switch works fine

Thanks all :)
