I have to confess I have the O not the K but I'm hoping the thread covers the O as well. It's a bugbear of mine that I'd readily trade-in the ribbon controller for a mod-wheel since all my 3rd party libraries have their dynamics triggered by the use of a mod-wheel.
Can someone please help me in this and let me know how you achieve this device on the K (better still if you have an O) ? I'm guessing that the process is the same for both instruments.
Many thanks if someone can help me here.
I'm sure there are many who use their K/O with external DAWs which bring in 3rd party libs.

I'm ok when I get to the music. The Oasys 88 sees to that.

If you want a controller to act as a mod wheel (which is CC#01 and is normally assigned to the joystick up direction), but you want a controller that you can move and leave it stopped at a certain position, then I would just use one of the programmable knobs (5, 6, 7, 8 ). In each program or combi, on the Controllers page, you choose what CCs to set the 4 knobs to. Just choose CC#01 and assign it to knob 8, for example.

Stephen,
So good of you to chip in. I well remember your 'pioneering' days on this forum after the introduction of the O by helping countless owners of this sonic marvel unravel its potential including myself. You have gone on upward and onwards since with karma and I wish you the very best of success.
Back on topic, I have had a quick glance through the manual (I should have done this perhaps before starting this thread) and I presume I can also assign a slider to act as a mod-wheel by going tabs:Global-Midi-External and fixing it there. I'll do this when next on the O.
Again, nice to hear from you and thanks for your reply. All the best.
