Battery life

Post by shulgin »

Hi. First time poster here. Does anybody know the lifespan of using the electribe 2 on six AA batteries?

I have a long train journey to take on Monday and this would be an ideal time for getting some tune time under my belt.

Cheers.

I use Energiser Rechargeables, they give about 5 hours. They were bought new and have only gone through a couple of charge cycles, hopefully they are yet to reach their full capacity. Be warned, the unit just switches off when batteries are too low, WITHOUT WARNING. You lose anything unsaved!!
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

The Electribe2 is programmed to automatically shut off if it detects a user making Dutch hardstyle.

..actually, I should put that in the "wish list" thread..

Be sure to change the battery type accordingly in your e2. Mine kept auto shutting down cuz I forgot. Got a set of 2300mah's rechargeables in there now and been playing for about 2 hour, it's still showing full battery bar. Would be nice to have a percentage there, or somewhere tucked away in the menu for a detailed look.

I have to say I am amazed by the battery life. The specs state up to 5 hours, but it is much longer for me.

I'm using a set of 6 2000mAh and a set of 6 2450mAh rechargeable batteries. I been working for a few hours a day with the same 2000mAh set for the 3rd now and just lost 1 of the 3 bars on the battery indicator. I still wish it would show a percentage though :D

I will keep using this set until the e2 shuts itself down. I'm pretty sure I've had at least 8 hours of usage from it. The set of 2450mAh batteries should last even longer. Just be sure you get one of the types that have a slow discharge rate so when you're not using it the batteries will barely drain.
