Using EMX1 and EMX2 together

I have had a bit of a break through moment,

I have been getting gradually more and more pissed of with the Electribe 2 and the stone walling from Korg on the issues we face using it...but...

I decided to try using the bit I like about the E2 (chord and polyphony) alongside the bits I still prefer on the EMX1 ( more useful knobs and the ribbon for drum programming)...an OH WOW does this work well.

I tend to have the EMX1 set to 1 bar so I can really quickly get my drums beating and programme acid style 16 step lines...

but then I have ALL the tracks of the E2 for chords, pads, risers etc using 4 bars...it's so liberating...I am even programming the chord sequences on the mute groups with identical sounds so I can quickly go between verse and chorus parts under the main sequence by setting up my first chords on pad 15, then when the times comes to have a chorus, just switching to part 16 which automatically kills the sound of part 15 until I mute part 16 to end the chorus and go back to the verse....if that makes sense.

so it looks like I am keeping mine going to aquire ANOTHER ESX1 to go with the ESX2 when it arrives then having each pair sit at alternate sides of my dj mixer to do full sets on (with a KO3 in the FX loop :)

to me this could be the perfect setup.
