This is a good idea.to answer your queries
no,don't,monitors,don't bass 29.1,treblee55.9,stereo38.6,volume-5.8.
I personally would like a set of presets that would suit different genre,s
mainly because I don't understand EQ's yet. I'm willing to learn but I just don't have time.
Your suggestions on settings(basic) would be appreciated.

Interesting Topic.
My settings are similar to yours Baz
Bass 26, Treble 59, Stereo Off, Volume 4.4
EQ Off.
I find once I start mucking around with EQ I start to get an unnatural sound but I have found it useful to knock down a specific frequency that might be feeding back through the mic. (A really hand iphone app to find the offending frequency is n-Track Tuner).
These settings work for me for headphones (Sennheiser) and Stereo amp (Yamaha Stage Pass).
Obviously will depend on your set up but it will be interesting to see if there is a common thread of boosting the bass a little and boosting treble quite a bit.

I missed this topic- very interesting. Right now i'm experimenting with different settings. Will share mine soon.
Also I found that for recording or monitoring purpose, it's better not to keep much maxx audio on!

For comparison purposes, detailing the type of speakers you are using, and the type of venue you are playing in, and the volume you play at all will have radically different effects on any one setting...
I'm not really sure there IS any one 'good for all' setting.
So many different factors come into play, especially the type of music and the type of audience, and the volume you play at.
Personally, I think of Maxx as a sort of super 'loudness' button, that you used to use on old stereos to hype the sound a bit to compensate for listening to things quietly. Strictly speaking, you turned it off as soon as you turned your stereo up (although many abused the feature and left it on the whole time, usually ruining the carefully crafted sound balance of the record).
You also have to account for your hearing loss... as we get older, we lose quite a lot of our top end, and often abuse the Maxx to make it sizzle and shine in our older ears. Unfortunately, this often leads to it sounding brittle and fatiguing for those in our audience that still have a fair bit of top end left!
Personally, I am a strong believer in direct comparison... If you want to sound like a CD, play your arranger and a CD through the same system, with the same EQ on the system inputs, and make VERY sure you are playing them both at the same volume (the ear hears very differently at different volumes) and play the same TYPE of music.
Now switch rapidly between the two... Particularly if you are comparing the arranger to music made and mastered last century (which is what we all primarily play!), you may very well hear that a little Maxx goes an awful long way! If needed at all...
While having pro mastering tools like multi-band compressors, EQ and Maxx on arrangers is to be commended, they are a double edged sword! It's as easy to screw up an already good sound as it is to improve it. A little can go a long way, and a lot can set you back a long way! So compare to the REAL thing, don't just keep jacking it up until you can really notice the difference. Odds are, by that time, you've gone too far...

*If you have other things to bring up regarding Maxx Audio, you are more then welcome to tell us all about it.
*If I missed some important questions, I will implent them to this topic.
- i would not suggest you to use maxx audio that mutch, especially not live, it destroys the frequencys. More is not allways better. If you can keep it flat and have a good sound from your set then you have a good balanced set.
I make my EQ on each sample, and therefore i dont need the maxx audio eq. I use a small amount of stereo, even doe i dont hear any difference. Sometimes i give some bass to it aswell if i need the roundness of the bass.
At home feel free to use maxx audio as mutch as you want.

For my PAas speaker, I use the settings that come by default.
For my headphones (Audio Technica M50X, which is great by-the-way), I use these settings:
Gain: 4.8 - 1.4 - 0.0 - 0.0 - 0.3 - 8.4 - 0.3
Freq: 16 - 85 - 136 - 645 - 5793 - 24548 - 21870
Q: 1.50 - 0.51 - 2.62 - 0.88 - 1.02 - 1.02 - 0.40
All ON.
EQ: Bass 37.8, Treble 37.8, Stereo 15.0, Volume 2.0. All ON.
I would like to see some more suggestions from other forum members.
Suggestions for my settings are also appreciated.
I do think your ears need to get used to specific settings.
