Korg: can I share the pcg of kronos2015?

After writing this small article:
http://www.kronoshaven.com/kronos-news/ ... onos-2015/
I get the question many times if I could share the PCG file of the Kronos 2015, so that everyone can use it on their own classic or Kronos x.
Before I do I would like to make sure if I'm allowed to do this from korg.
Anyone?
Thanks!

No you can't. I bought them and there is a serial number associate with it.
This is the same for any pack of Korg autorized progammers, even if you would share them between your own 2 Kronos.

The .PCG file without the sample libraries doesn't contain any serial numbered content. In fact, I don't think the Kronos 2 has any paid content over the original Kronos without the actual sample libraries. But the sample libraries themselves are free to download and install off of Korg's sight. They install in a demo mode until you register them.

Hopefully somewhere down the road Korg will decide to sell this PCG separate.

this was discussed ( sort of) over here
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... c&start=15
if you dig around the forum around that time, you might find a few other related post topics.
Each Kronos model has its own PCG. the X has its own PCG, as does the Kronos 2 is what I am reading.

Those of us who bought the extra EXs's to bring our MkI's and X's up to date already have the extra PCG's... They're just loaded into different banks aren't they?
I can't imagine that there would be copyright issues sharing the Kronos 2's factory PCG.
BUT... I'm pretty sure that shoving in the Kronos 2 PCG would mess up our combis though

From what I have been told, that's not entirely true.
The EXs17 demo only includes the first 8 new Berlin Piano programs - not all 256 (2 banks) new programs and none of the new combis.
The EXs18 demo only includes the first 15 new programs using the Brass PCM - not all 256 (2 banks) new programs and none of the new combis.
The demos only include the few new programs that actually use the new PCM, so you can try it out.
Therefore, to get the full set of new programs and combis (on an original Kronos or Kronos-X), you have to buy the KRS-07 Sound Pack.
