K2 horns in action

Post by holdsg »

Let's try this again,
Gig video from Monday Night. Those K2 horns sound great in the mix.

Nicely done! I do Vehicle in a cover band as well. I use the Combi A003 Orchestra and Timpani patch. Those low octaves with the percussion when hit hard really come through.

Curious as to the patch you use

its one of the "famous synth" horn patches, I'll have to look it up.
it's not the sledgehammer horns one, I use that in a different song.
Might be the Sir Duke horns.

The horns sound impressive very good job. I use all most the same patch but i split the keyboard with organ/ horns. I play organ and the horns at the same time during certain parts and gives it a fat sound. Great job

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.
Funny thing about that song.
just about 2 weeks ago we decided to transpose it from the original (F# I believe) to E. Although I know how to transpose either globally or in a combi, I decided just to learn the new fingering. Well, I got most of it, still working out some of the voicings, but I thought it worked well with I think one rehearsal in the new key before last Monday. Not quite "on the fly" like some of you can transpose (not me).
