Can I use my base amp for lower register notes?
Hey y'all. I have a Kronos X61 keyboard connected to 2 each PreSonus 'Eris 8' nearfield monitors. I have a small Ampeg BA-112 combo bass amp to which I am wondering if it is possible to connect the Ampeg bass amp into the output scheme along with the PreSonus monitors to get some good deep bass notes in the lower registers from the Kronos.
Any thoughts or previous experience on this?

I've done this at home a few times in the past with a large keyboard amp (along with my studio monitors) to have it act as a "sub." Your best bet is to stick a crossover in front of it to filter out anything that's in the range of what your regular speakers (i.e. if your regular speakers go down to 70hz, don't let any frequencies above 70hz go to your bass amp).
You could probably do this with an IFX lowpass filter on the Kronos itself, but it would be per program/combi, so you would need to do it for each one. I would suggest running the outputs through a crossover and splitting the signals there.

Makes sense. Thanks for the directional input 'jeebustrain'. Now I have a starting point to research gear for my application.
