Synthesis question: creating a "bouncing spring" s

Post by Flaco »

Hi all,

I want to create a bouncing spring sound on the EMX1, something sounding like "Boing".

Can anyone give me some tips?

Much appreciated.

It's a little tricky to sequence, but the springiest results I've ever heard from these boxes involve the Short Delay effect: assign it to the part you want, then crank its depth (FX knob 2) while shortening the length (sweep right-to-left on FX knob 1).

Once you get a feel for how to turn the knobs, hit the "motion seq" button in the FX part and the record button to record it as a motion sequence! Flanger might also give you the results you want, but it has a steady LFO so its less hands-on IMO.

Thanks.

I've been trying it and I'm starting to get something I like.
