Help with Editing effect in Krome

Post by glamark05 »

 Have been trying for a couple of days now but i cant seem to figure out how to edit a sound from program mode so that the longer i press a key the louder the sound will get until it cuts off. Primarily its for my trumpets and brass.

Thanks for your help. :P

Hi !
I will try to help you but please can be more specific. Do you try to have the crescendo effect for your brass?
Best regards,
Dan

Your example is program B-081 Sforzando Brass.

Crescendo effects generated by the filter Eg.
Open the P3 Filter page will see the cutoff freq is 00. And the mod page Eg is set to Velo Sensitive to filter A=99. The EG is a graphic controller with two axes. Level and Time. In this situation the filter freq will be close and open depend how you drown the graphic EG. In this example the break point level is low then Attack level. So after strike the key the sound will be little bit dark after attack, but will be open after few seconds.

So:

Close the Cutoff freq. If the Cutoff freq is a max level the EG not work in the positive value so not have sense.
In the Filter mod page increase the EG intensity value or Eg velocity from 0% to 99% to work the Envelope Generator.
Drown your graphic,(set the Attack time Decay, Break level) to have your own crescendo effect.

The Eg can work as a volume so please check the same EG settings in the P4 Amp/Eq, Amp1or2 EG page.

NOTE:

Manny sounds are made with two oscillators so the Filter settings need to be set for both oscillator to hear the effects 100%. Is better to edit one osc so close the Volume for OSC2 first. Be sure if you edit the EG for osc in use.
It's happened when edit some parameter for OSC witch is set to off and no hear any effect:)

Kind regards,
Dan
