And regarding the Andy, well...it is actually MORE expencive now than when I bought it a couple of years ago, due to higher production-costs in the industry, and taxes on components and solder (I think it was, believe it or not).
Anyway, the cheapest I know of here costs about 4300 dollars...still quite a lot. _________________ Poly Evolver keyboard, KORG Radias. KURZWEIL K2600S, NORD-MODULAR, KORG D3200, DOEPFER MAQ 16/3 and a bunch of pedals...It's all gone, so now I'm starting over, but with virtual synths.
Soundconstruction going on... |

I'm looking forward to hearing (and playing) the new Prophet.
I wish a local store would carry it, but not much chance of that around here.

That's cool! In my oppinion, the original Prophet 5 was the greatest analog synth ever made, and I hope the 08 is just as good. I haven't got a chance to listen to the MP3's yet. I know that Dave Polich, one of the independent sound designers for Yamaha, programmed at least some of the voices, because I read it in one of his posts over on Motifator. I might have to get me one of these beauties. Does anyone know what the Prophet 08's weight will be? How many keys does it have? |
