With all the talk about the sequencer, of late, how would you rate yourself overall with familiarity and usage of Korg sequencers (Triton line, OASYS, M3)? |

I use it as a scratch pad most of the time. Using the computer for final mixes. _________________ Triton Le 76, AKAI MPK-88, EXP-Sample Board, AMD Athlon X2 4600, MOX6, Dr. Rhythm 880, Sonar, Reason |

Me too. I miss the ease of use that my old Ensoniq ESQ-1 sequencer had. And it saved all data into onboard memory. _________________ M3, Triton Classic, Radias, Motif XS, Alesis Ion |

I use Sonar 6 and Live 6 for everything, although I may have used the sequencer once when I was recording with my band, outside of my home studio. Someday I may transfer sequenced tracks from my DAW for live use, but I prefer to play my parts live. _________________ DEVICE - CLICK HERE!

I use it just for scratch or draft works... so I tell "intermediate" just cos I'm not fast enough in using it, anyway I think I know all its features and where to find what I need. Triton seq here though.

I'm Certainly comfortable using it and have done for years, been Using the Korgs since 1988 with using the M1 and pretty much every other Workstation in between, used the Tritons for several Years and still do for certain RPPR triggering still, now onto the Oasys,Pretty much know the Seq functions and abilities inside out and could do it blindfolded,so voted Expert, but just find it too Limiting for my needs and workflow nowadays.
Of course should Korg catapolt it into the next Millenium I would Quite happily revert back to using it as the Main tool. |

I never really got "under the hood" of it. I'm probably in the majority of the masses that use it for "scratch" ideas. Have captured a many melody and chord with that thing! Works great off the fly! I will say this, that from the beginning for me, it was a requirement to have a sequencer for that exact reason. For me it has paid for it'self a couple times over!
As for "Finishing Touches", and taking it to the next level, I complete the inspiration in Sonar. _________________ marcus
