http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvz8BX2Y5go
In the above video, the user is controlling Ableton Live with the KP3; he's got 8 virtual faders on the X/Y pad.
How do I do this? I've tried everything I can think of, and canny find any resources re: virtual faders.
This is currently the only thing that's currently stopping me using the KP3 in my live set...
Help! |

To have 8 Faders, you gotta go through the KP3 editor, under "EXT.CTRL" Then look at the KP3 graphic with all the assigned Midi notes and find the pattern drop-down. Choose pattern 4, click "Pad Touch", then select "continue" on the Assign Type.
I know I can control pots and faders with this setting. I couldn't control the clips in an audio track in Live with this setting though. |

No Problem
From that youtube vid, it looked like he was controlling the clips with each led on the X/Y representing a clip. That means each led would be a note.
Though, still not sure if he's controlling the clips since I can't see his Ableton screen |

Aye, I haven't worked that far out. The faders do, however, work perfect for controlling FX in Ableton.
Awesome.
I think that some kind of CC# + transmitted value to note conversion would do the job! I'm sure there's things that do that. |
