Hey folks, i'm new to this forum and new to the kaos pad, a very simple question here, how many samples can i load up to the pad, i presume its more than 4 yes? when i load from the card i only get the option of bank A B C D.
sorry if i come accross stupid

You can only have one sample loaded for each pad at a time, so you can only have 4 samples at a time. |

Depends on the size of the sample. |

so maximum sample time would be 16 beats yes? i take it the beats run at a constant bpm, not adjustable. |

BPM is of course adjustable..
Press the Program knob (yes, it clicks) and rotate. Hold the Shift button for whole steps.
The manual is a handy thingy.. |

i didnt mean adjustable when i'm playing back samples, i meant when i sample, what is the maximum time one sample can be? |

This has been discussed in another thread a while ago, but I'm too lazy to search for it. It's also in the manual but I'm at work now and too lazy to download it.
The maximum sample time varies. It is 16 beats for a certain range of BPM's. Once you set the KP3 below a certain BPM it goes down to 8 beats for a maximum sample. Even slower and it will go down to 4, 2 or 1 beat. The maximum sample time at 140 BPM is around 7 seconds. |
