you don´t understand a s**t!

the pattern loops and retriggers the STEP 1, man...you don´t have to set a number bigger than 17 if your pattern is 1-bar long

just place a gate of N(X)+1 steps, being N the number of steps in a pattern and X the number of bars your pattern have

last example

you have a pattern of 2 bars, each with 16 steps

16*2+1= 33

so 33 is the gate number to place in step 1
