I just got the x50 a couple days ago and have been reading the manual,but I am still having problems figuring out how to get Ableton Live 6 to synch to the x50.I installed the x50 editor as well.I am using a 20 inch intel IMAC with a firewire410 audio interface,and Ableton Live.Can anyone help???????

Look at your X50 manual, starting at page 69. Read through to page 77. This will provide a good overview of how the X50's Multi mode works, which will be important if you plan to use the features of the X50 in a multi-timbral (multi-track) manner. Then read page 105 which covers synchronization.
The key to synchronization is establishing a timing master. I do not use Ableton, so I can't tell you about the settings there, but I suggest that your DAW progam (Ableton in this case) be set as the Master, and the X50 as the Slave. The word 'EXT' will show in the upper right portion of your X50's screen when this is the case.

Hello im having a similar problem with the micro x i cant seem to get
it synced right ive set up live so it sends sync messages and when i press play in live i can see that the tempo on my micro changes from the bpm to EXT in the right upper corner however when i hear the metronome from live and the combi playing from my micro x the tempo doesnt match at all im using it with the plug in editor |
