Everytime I set the Triton to External MIDI in Global mode I loose all sound from the Triton. I still have Local Control On and just want to use Cubase's midi clock. Any ideas what might be causing this, I am obviously missing a setting but just dont know what that is? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

That shouldn't happen.

Simply setting the midi clock to external will not stop the sounds from working. It will effect the COMBI sounds probably if the ARPEG needs to be on, but that's about it.

Are you changing some other setting ?.
Is the Global channel still set to G1 ?.

Regards.
Sharp.

Well what I am trying to do is test sounds in Program mode to see what they sound like with a VST, I am trying to use Cubase's clock to sync the arpeggiator on the Triton. I apologize for mis-stating this, I do have sound but when I enable the arpeggiator there is no longer any sound. Am I doing this wrong? The only setting I have messed with are the Global Midi settings

No start/stop information is being sent from cubase.

Create an empty track in cubase and press the start button to allow the track to run. The Triton should behave as normal now.

Regards.
Sharp.

Sorry for the delay getting back, I have created the midi track, assigned it to channel one, and made sure the correct midi interface is selected. Maybe there is a setting I need to make in Cubase then. On this midi track is there anything else I need select besides play? I get sound just no arppegiator when I enable it. ARRRGGGHHH Frustrating, I know I am missing some simple setting somewhere??
