I'm wondering if there is a way I can just buy a new vocoder microphone for my MicroKorg; it went out a while ago and I've been pretty bummed that I can't use the vocoder without it.
Any ideas? Or should I just contact Korg about getting a replacement? |

Haven't tried another mic, but the manual suggests any mic (condenser or dynamic) will do, see page 4 in manual. There are both small & large jack sockets for mics on the back. |

There is no such thing as a "vocoder microphone". It's a microphone, period, and not a very good one at that. You'll find that any professional dynamic microphone will give you a better result than the one Korg put in the box. Look for a used SM58 or similer. It's also useful to have a real mic stand that's adjustable, instead of a gooseneck with a very limited range of positions. |
