A couple of times lately I couldn't get into KF at all and got an internet explorer error message that the website did not exist. Then after like a day and a half I was able to get in. It was at least twice within the last month or so. Right now Stephen can't get in here at all. Any ideas as to what's causing this? Anyone else had this trouble?

I couldn't get the site to come up for about the last week, then suddenly just now I got in.

Hi georgeinar.

For 3 weeks running we have been down a few hours on the Saturday / Sunday mornings. This is only happens for a short amount of time while we talk with our host. Basically KORG Forums is being attacked by spam bots from China which are generating huge amounts of traffic, and to save the server from being hogged, they are blocking the IP's of the bots and suspending the forum, and all sub accounts like Irish Acts and so on...

I've asked them to install a filter that will monitor sudden increases of traffic from IP's based in China, so I'm hoping we don't see this happening again.

Other than that, there has been no down time that I'm aware of.

Regards.
Sharp.

Hi Stephen.

I really haven't got a clue as to what your problem was. Maybe a node was out, but that's a pretty big guess. We have been here posting away as normal. The down time I mentioned above was only limited to 3 weekends and only for a few hours.

Glad to see you got back in though.

Regards.
Sharp.

Thanks Sharp, I was frustrated to say the least, and had no clue what I could do to fix it.
It's good to be back.
Regards,
