thanks , but I did that. At least I think I did, whatever it installed was more like a tool to install the usb driver or configure.xmlguy wrote:You need to download the Korg USB-Midi driver and install it.
I did do that but nothing happened i.e. nothing at , it was as if it ignored it but I tried several times. I'm going to un-install and re-install.xmlguy wrote:Run the "Configure KORG USB-MIDI Driver" application.
If the driver is loaded, that application will show a File version for it, such as "User mode driver: 1.11.XX.XX".
Then plug in the keyboard via USB. You should see the "Device List..." button go from disabled to enabled. If the button doesn't change, try a different USB port or cable.
Try that and report what you see.
What do you mean by ""Configure KORG USB-MIDI Driver" application " does nothing? When you run the application you should see a window with the caption "KORG USB-MIDI Driver" with an OK and Cancel buttons at the bottom. If you don't see a window displayed, then you've got a problem with your operating system, since you should at least get some error message if the program doesn't load.charles.monteiro wrote:I uninstalled and installed but without success.
"Configure KORG USB-MIDI Driver" application. " does nothing. Once I turn on the micro x it loads as an "unknown device". I guess I'll start unplugging my usb devices and trying although non are irrelevant.
at first I was but my last attempts were with the micro x connected to usb jacks right on the PC. However, there is a powered usb hub connected to the PC as well , if that makes a difference.DLR007 wrote:Are you using a powered USB hub (i.e. does it have a power adapter plugged into it)?
there's only one 7 port hub, if there are other hubs they are on the motherboard as well as a PCI USB card. I assume you mean the Korg "delete" utility. I'll try the manual registry editing. I have for now delegated the micro x editor to my notebook. I'll see if I have any issues when I add the padKontrol.xmlguy wrote:You need to simplify your USB setup to diagnose and fix this problem. Your system shows 9 Hubs!!!! Remove all other USB devices and hubs. Use the Delete utility to remove all other third party USB drivers that it allows, you can add them back later.
See all those unused midi (greyed out) between midi0 and midi9, that indicates you've probably installed a lot of prior midi drivers that are no longer working. Those drivers are located in the Windows Registry. You can use the Delete utility to remove the functioning midi drivers, but not corrupted ones. You may need to clean up the midi registry manually using regedit. You probably can google how to do this.
