Recording your final piece: harware Options?
Once you have created elements on the electribe and can play out a nice version of a track in realtime by turning off and on bits. What hardware options are there to record this?
I know you can sequence the track right on the electribe.
I also know you can record the stream to a computer.
I am wondering what other hardware options there are to record a single track? There are things like the ehx 2880, but this pretty advanced bit of kit and overkill to just record a single track.
Is there a hardware device that will record to a CF card or something similar, one track of audio at least 5 mins in length?
Thanks!

something like http://www.tascam.com/products/dr-100;9,12,3717,16.html or http://www.tascam.com/products/dr-07.html would do it
they come in various sizes and specifications and other manufacturers do similar things
Edit: since this is a korg forum: http://www.korg.co.uk/products/digital_ ... dr_mr2.php

I decided to go for the Tascam dp-004:
http://www.amazon.com/Tascam-DP-004-Poc ... 253&sr=8-1
It has the right profile to sit on a desk and feels more stable to use as part of my setup than the zoom type devices which seem too geared imho to outdoor 'in your pocket' and quick mic style use. It also has 1/4 inch inputs instead of miniJack inputs, which I like.
I picked one up from SamAsh yesterday (who matched amazon price) and so far I like it. Its really dead easy to use and doesn't feel like its going to break anytime soon.
I have only had it for a day so far, i'll report back in a few days and tell you how its working out.
Thanks all, for the suggestions. I love this forum!

cool!, yeah I went with the zoom so I could easily record other things for the SX. I will have a case for it.. so no thrown into pocket or loosely sitting in a bag.

I just picked up the same Tascam DP-004. Great for throwing down quick tracks. I plug my SX into input A, a friend plays guitar running into input B. Hit record and booyah!! Can record two more tracks if needed, bounce them to one track to overdub, simple stuff. Lovin the ease right now compared to my laptop.

I've got all my gear hooked up to a simple dual Sony CD player/recorder which I burn all of my final version songs/instrumentals to. I use mostly Maxell CD'r's to burn my master copies too for the time being, and I don't have any complaints as the sound quality and ease of operations is rather fast and easy.
