Thank you. Reading back over it, my post sounds kind of harsh, to the soft synth guys too. I tried to be funny but sometimes I get going with a train of thought and I get into terrain I didn't mean to.Timo wrote:I also wish to thank Synthguy for his eloquent and logical post, places everything into perspective.
Obviously, some Oasys owners do feel jilted by KORG rather dumping the expensive thing when it sounded like more improvement was coming. But they have to make a profit on it, and it was definitely a boutique item when it launched, never to see sales like the Triton Studio did. So its days, sadly, were numbered. Heck, I hated to hear it was discontinued too, because it's an epic instrument and I still want one. I crossed my fingers that it meant something similar but cheaper was coming. It's why I made my crazy guess yesterday which came amazingly close to the mark on what Kronos is.
Big O owners can still be proud of owning the best workstation on the market. Just let us who weren't as well monied as you guys taste this magical elixor in a smaller package, and partake of all that stunning power ourselves. We can all get along, surely.

It is going to be a long, LONG wait for this thing...
