Another nice one, Aaron!

I guess you have already encouraged some of us with your demos to dive deeper into the three VAs, and the great Kronos controller surface options for live and recording while using the VAs.

Jim.

This keyboard is so great. It's doing almost everything I thought it could do. Yes, there is the issue of the mute steals polyphony, but the SST works so well, I can do things live that the PC3 cannot do. So in way, I lost something, but got another thing back. It's amazing to switch from a program and seamlessly go to a combination without any type of transition.

I'm still working on an MS-20 BC program, but it will be fun to play when it's done.

Sounds great! Can't wait to get my K73 and try it out with my BC3 and really looking forward to hooking it up to my Eigenlabs Pico too!

Aaron, completely share your enthusiasm.

After the first weeks with the Kronos the positive basic feeling "wherever I want to go, I can go with this instrument", has already become quite stable reality.

It took me some time to figure some things out, and it will probably last some months to become well acquainted with all important aspects of the OS, the engines, and the controller possibilities, but I'm already having as much fun and creative kick as I could wish.

I have to admit I'm still rather jumping here and there all the time, checking functions, reading parameter guide passages, creating some custom patches for my purposes and just trying things, than concentrating on real projects or ideas again. But that won't last too long after having found well working access to the system.

Let's keep rolling Wink

Very nice. Wish that Yamaha was still making a breath controller (slight hint to Korg).

The other toy I'd love to hook up to a Kronos that is no longer made is the Kurzweil XM1 Expression Mate.

I think I have to build my own breath controller now. The BC3 controllers don't last forever.

yeah I am quite disapointed that mute steals polyphony.
I would love to have my 8-16 bread and buter sounds on mix play/mute than on the set list as it doesn't allow layering on the fly.
Of coarse I would never dare layering 8 programs at once nor would I need that.
Is there a work around this issue? Or any hopes of korg fixing this?
I can not think of anysynth I had before kronos that had this nobrainer poliphony usage when muted Sad

LOLLLL YOu must be joking Lol, and I tried this and of coarse it doesn't work since I am going to need all the sounds I put in each bank (maybe about 8-9 sounds) but will not layer than all at the same of coarse lol
any keyboard would run out of poliphny just with the thought of it.
