OK so i took my Kronos to rehearsal tonight ...
and a strange thing happened ....
Played a song came to the end and it does a 12 note pitch bend down .....
go to play next song (New programme) and its a semitone out (Lower)???
check everything (Global, pitch bend, vector .....) all at it should be, change sound still the same, switch to combi ... still the same WTF !!!! in the end i had to switch it off (wait 3 mins for the reboot !!!)
When it came back on all was fine ... never happened again for the rest of rehearsal ...
Anyone else had this ....
Worried bout taking it out live now ..... _________________ 13in Retina MacBook Pro, Quadcore i5 27in 8GB iMac, Logic Studio 9.1, Ableton Live9, Push, Volca Beats, Korg KRONOS 61, Korg Arp odyssey, Roland D50, Yamaha SY85, Moog Sub37, Roland TR8, Roland SP808, Korg NanoPad2, Eventide H9, Presonus 1602, Alesis M1 MkII, Yamaha APX5, Fender Splattercaster, DrumKat DK10, 1000 miles of cable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Could it have been a cc being sent from a pedal or other controller/keyboard? _________________

Nope only pedal connected was a sustain pedal, no other external controllers

did you try just sweeping the pitch bend joystick through its range and settling back on nominal? It sounds like the pitch CC got stuck off axis, and simply needed to be reset. Midi inside the Kronos is no different, really, than Midi in a multi-device external setup. Sometimes you're going to need to send a midi-reset message to clear the pipes (so to speak). I THINK I remember Dan posting in some thread along the way that there was a button combo which essentially acted as a midi-reset....and as I remember....it was a two stage process due to SST. You had to change programs twice and then change modes and back.....or something like that. Dan? _________________ http://soundcloud.com/ronf-3/sets/ronf-music

Maybe the reset controllers might help. It does sound like a glitchy controller - but what control pitch bends 12 steps??? _________________ Korg Kronos, RD-88, Yamaha VL1, Deep Mind 6, Korg Kross, author of unrealBook for iPad. |

I had something similar a few days ago. Can't remember the exact situation that lead to it, but it was the joystick. The stick had re-centered, but for some reason, it was still playing a half step or so flat, even when I changed timbre. I tapped the JS and all was right with the world. Hasn't happened to me since... _________________ Kronos 2 88, Kronos Classic 73, PX-5S, Kronos 2 61, Roli Seaboard Rise 49 |

My Oasys has been doing the same thing for 2 years. Now some of the patches are a step off and the sounds in some of the combi's are off or are not stable. A Korg "AUTHORIZE REPAIRMAN" couldn't fine the problem. So I thought when I purchased a Kronos I could put the "O' in the shop until its fixed. Well after reading this thread-------- |
