Sorry if there's been a thread on this already(used the search function...no luck),but can we do this .
Iknow we can do it with program banks in global mode by re assigning the bank to HD or EXI ,but there no way to select the combi banks,or is there
Do we have to do each combie in the bank individually?

With PCG Tools you can clear all the names at once (not for the U-AA .. U-GG banks, working on that), but clearing the names is of course not completely equal to really initialize.

Why not just simply load an empty bank from disk?
That´s quick and easy...

Well two different options, both with their pros and cons.

That was my first thought, but where are the empty combie banks? They don't show up on the internal drive

Just do a Save PCG of all banks, then load an empty bank back into the bank of choice. Very simple, no? .. or am I missing something here..

No it's probably me that's missing something.
When I go to the knonos internal hd from disk mode, and into combies,Ionly see IA-IB-IC-IF . The empty Combi banks are G-H-I and so on,but they are not listed here.
Maybe I'm not where I should be!

Go to Disk Mode and from the bottom left, select Save.
Then from the top right drop down, select Save PCG.
You will be brought to a screen that allows you to select and save what ever you want.

For now, and to make it a little easier, "Deselect" Global, Drum Track, and Set Lists. All programs and combi banks that are highlighted will be saved in this PCG.
After you name and do the save, go to "Load" at the bottom left. Locate your PCG and Open.
Drill down to the combis, locate an empty bank and then Load it to where ever you choose.

That's a brief but should get you going. If you're uncomfortable with this, go to Disk mode, select Save from the bottom left.
Now hit the HELP button and read what it does and the menu commands available and their explanations.

I strongly advise some reading here, be it the Help menu or your manuals.
