I know the rules about creating secondary accounts, but don't really have a choice as my primary account (seedylee) has been disabled due seemingly to a bug in the forum software.

If you change the email address associated with your profile, your account is immediately disabled. There's no further instructions, the forum just advises that you need to log in again. I'm guessing that perhaps a confirmation/activation email is supposed to be sent to the new email address, hwoever nothing is sent.

After doing some research, seems this is a bug with phpBB2, as users on many other forums have experienced the exact same phenomenon. I've sent an email to sharp at korg forums dot com, but haven't heard back yet (it's been less than 24 hours).

I know the new email address I entered is correct, because if I use the "Forgotten Password" link, it only works with the new email address I entered. However I can't do more than that as it simply tells me my account is disabled Sad

So, won't be posting again until (if) this is cleared up. Smile

Probably Sharp is very busy, but I can't imagine in this case it is a problem. He only don't like duplicate accounts for people misusing it.

Sorry you've experienced problems. You are right, when you change your email address it is supposed to send out an email to your new email address to confirm the change. This will then re activate your account. I'm not sure why this hasn't been sent. I'll let Sharp look in to that, but in the meantime I've reactivated your account seedylee so you should be able to log in now. Please let me wow if you are still experiencing problems.
