Hi there,
To WaterDrum : I'm interested in getting one micro SD extension cable, if the deal is still running. I'm located in Europe.

Well I found the micro SD to micro SD extension cable. 1 lot or 20 will cost me 135. I rounded the change up as I don't remember the exact #. I am willing to buy a lot and send them out. You pay shipping, or of out of country what ever shipping costs are needed. I do not live close to town so I figure a couple trips will cost me 20$ and packaging I am uncertain of. I am heading to town to check does a flat envelope with bubble wrap sound good?

Also if you are interested pm me I will start a list. Final cost should be around 7.75 and not including shipping and packaging. I do not mind shipping overseas but everyone will have to PayPal me first. Any takers I am willing to go half way out on the limb for you.

Well it isn't a done deal yet only three units are accounted for. I pmd everyone who showed interest but no one seems interested any more. I will keep every informed of what happens but with only 3 used I won't order a lot of 20. Anyone else interested let me know! When I get enough interest confirmed I'll make the order.

I'm definitely in, €10-€15 no problem. I may not get around to installing it for a while but will be good to have. I may have to wait for a more deft-handed enthusiast to show us how to do this in a neat manner, as I can be a bit of a butcher.

Are we talking about a custom made cable for the right length? This will be a flat ribbon cable , I guess, so if it is too long it may be a problem.

Me thinks the slot should be at the bottom of the WaveDrum, not the side where it may get hit.

Freestok, are you still around?

Could you do one more test for us please?

If you could make a copy of the SD card on another SD card, put it in and see if it works?

If yes, then we have a guaranteed way of backing up our sounds and using different cards for whole different sets.

MUCHAS GRACIAS POR TODO

I just had a look at the WD. There is an interesting space between the front panel and the rim, on either side of the panel.... Also, THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN THE RIM AND THE PLASTIC CASE, just beneath, so it looks like we may be able to squeeze the cable through there, WITH NO CUTTING OR DRILLING???

Somebody please say yes.

yes .....

and
at the bottom ,close to the screw for pressure adjustment
you will find a neat opening for to lead through a flat cable .
in the compartment at the bottom is IMO the best place for a reader.

25 cm and 45 cm is available
25 is enough (?)

for single order:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Luxury-MICRO-SD ... 27c2333b6b

edit :
this cable is NOT recommended ,it has a very inferior reader

to be considered :
is the connection on the board stabil against vibration ?
a solid plastic encasing for the reader is better ?

Thanks for the link Waterdrum! I ordered one. I didn't like ordering a whole lot with only three units accounted for. Sorry Aminco I wish it would have worked out.

As an aside I am making a secondary wood block with piezo. Clip experiments sound cool but want something a bit more permanent.
