Both of these tracks are very cool! I really like your multi angle videos PMC! You will have to tell me more about how you produce them someday. And I dig the patches you used in your track MidnightPackage, it has a great groove throughout. Thanks both for posting! _________________ http://soundcloud.com/ronf-3/sets/ronf-music

I'll be happy to tell you how to produce multi-track video! If you're ever in the Los Angeles area, give me a shout and I'll walk you through it firsthand!
And yes... while MidnightPackage thinks s/he is still learning how to use the RC-300, I think s/he did a fantastic job with it so far! _________________ Check me out at PianoManChuck |

Yes I second the cool multi angel videos too.
I never made a youtube video but I know from experience making a good video is quite a lot of work and yours look very professional (of course the playing too ) _________________

Thank you PianoManChuck and RonF! I appreciate the comments.
I find that I am, at least initially, using the pedal a bit different from what I expected. Because it has a persistent memory, I have been recording and saving multi-layered jazz backing tracks in the first dozen slots, that I can recall instantly and improvise over. So much fun. I have only scratched the surface of what the RC-300 is capable of. I would really like to do more recording too. _________________ Korg Kronos 61, Yamaha P120 88, Roland Alpha Juno 2 61, Boss RC-300 Loopstation, Roland SC55, M-Audio Axiom 61, Novation ReMOTE 25, Boss ME-6, Electro-Voice Raven, Alesis Multimix 8 |

Just ordered a new RC 300 for $489 shipped.
The Octatrack seems fantastic but the cost is so high.
Seems like the RC 300 will be fine for my needs. |

I'm still waiting for the new Pigtronix Infinity looper. I have high expectations for this one! Hopefully in a month or so should be out. I'm a buyer! _________________ http://soundcloud.com/ronf-3/sets/ronf-music

I think you might be quite surprised with the RC-300's capabilites! I needed to know how to do something, so I went into the manual and started finding all kinds of things I never knew it was capable of (and that's just in one section that I needed to find some answers to). You might want to browse through the manual and see if it might appeal to the things you're looking for:

Just a word of warning for anybody considering running the Windows 8 Consumer Preview ... the Boss RC-300 drivers are not supported and you will not be able to use the digital audio interface. I installed Win 8 last week and have been unable to see the pedal in the list of audio devices connected. Today I tried to reinstall the drivers and got an error saying that this version of windows is not supported. I am completely bummed out. The Kronos works perfectly under Windows 8. Thanks for warning everyone! New OS's are the ONLY thing I won't upgrade, or switch to, until they've been out for at least a year. Your warning is a prime example of one of the many reasons for this. Windows 7 (64-bit) was out for quite a long time before I finally went with it
I feel bad for you... I know how much fun you were having with that pedal _________________ Check me out at PianoManChuck |
