well this is the topic for redesign so im not sure we should discuss these here but since it was mentioned i thinl its logical not to merge pa500 and uture forum of pa600. With that logic, its better to merge krome and M50 too ! anyway p1500/800/2x belong to the same generation and pa3x/pa600 and the future korg midrange keybord (pa900?) will be the next generation so i think its better to put pa600 in the pa3x section for the meantime and leave pa500 where it is now. The future midrange arranger will then join (when available) the pa3x/pa600 forum.
just my suggestion _________________ MUSCI AND THATS ALL...........!!!! |

Hi all.
The new theme has been launched. I'll give it a few days just to live with it as is before I tweak anything further. So far I can say the font will change.
As for the discussion forums.
The forums can be now viewed "In Frames", or you can view it as normal.
CLICK HERE to see it in frames. This can all be access from the website, so no need to remember the link.
As for the appearance of the forum. When you are NOT logged in you will see the dark theme. When you ARE logged in you will see the forum the same way you have always seen it. This is an option in your profile you can change as you see fit.
Regards

Hi Sharp - been going through the theme options in my profile. Just FYI the subice one has the logo 'Irish Acts Discussion Forums' with no mention of Korg or that it's independently moderated etc. _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

Ahh yes, that's an old theme from when KORG Forums was Irish Acts.
I'll stick that on my to do list and get it updated.
Thanks.

Hey Sharp, I actually love the forums just how they are currently, and I really don't like the new design. It's too dark and I don't like the colors. I look at them at work right now and it doesn't draw any attention, whereas the new theme would. Also, no offense intended, but the new design looks like someone's personal website on Geocities from the 90's. . . not sure if its the graphics or the fonts but it looks old.
I read that I can keep my preferences to where they are, so I'm happy about that Just figured I'd chime in with my feedback. _________________ Current Gear: Korg Kronos 2 88, Focusrite 18i8, Sonar Platinum, Win 10 64-bit, 8-gig ram

Sharp, while I'm at it. . . is there any way to jump to a certain page in the forums? For instance, I'm looking through the Kronos forums and trying to read all of the older posts. Say I want to jump to Page 40 to resume where I left off. . . any easy way to do that? Right now I have to click "Next" or "Previous" 40 times Would be a nice feature if it doesn't already exist. _________________ Current Gear: Korg Kronos 2 88, Focusrite 18i8, Sonar Platinum, Win 10 64-bit, 8-gig ram

Hi RlaRed.
Simply login to the forum and it will look exactly the same way it has always looked to you.
There are even different themes you can select in your profile.

Yes, look at the bottom right of this thread.
Beside your name on the left there's also an arrow pointing to your post. That can be used as a link to jump back to your post in a thread.
Regards

Seems there is a problem.
Setting the theme for the forum for anonymous users makes he registration process fail.
For the moment I've switched back.

I don't like the orange look of the forum, I find it harder to read. Perhaps it's just a question of getting use to it.
But the home page is really stunning!
Good work! |

+1
I suffer from migraines and am susceptible to weird colours and lights.
I found the orange made me feel nauseous.
There's a reason 99% of popular websites use black (or a pale blue) text and white (or light grey) background. That reason is because its the best colour scheme for everyone to read comfortably. |

Dear Sharp,
while I really appreciate your efforts of the redesign, I have to report, that I had to quit reading yesterday evening, because my tired eyes couldn't stand the bad contrast of the bright letters on the dark background anymore. And I don't like to login everytime I visit, just to be able to read this great forum in a proper way.
Good luck for the next try!
